At the Children’s Branches’ general meeting on January 25, Betty Jo Olson, Branches president and a board member of both the hospital and the foundation, presented their 2009 annual gift to Children's Hospital & Research Center Oakland — a check for $2 million!
The donation will be divided to support two important initiatives — $1 million is designated for capital improvements at Children's Hospital Oakland, and $1 million is for Children’s Specialty Care Walnut Creek. In addition to this $2 million gift, the Branches also presented Children’s Hospital Oakland Research Institute with a directed gift of $100,000.
We are so grateful to have such amazingly effective fundraising support. The work of the Branches is helping to bring the very best in medical care to tens of thousands of children.
